Charnley House had had it’s annual fund raising day for Willow Wood Hospice, and we’re happy to announce it was a great success. Nine residents and two staff enjoyed the first outing on the New Horizons Canal Boat from Marple. The weather was good so everyone enjoyed ice lollies. We have two more sailings, one for August and one for September. Hopefully the next ones will give us some nice weather too!
We were nominated for a Best Practice Award in End of Life Care and attended the Daisy Dignity presentation on 19 April to receive the certificate. Congratulations to all, it’s a difficult job and I’m glad that we can provide the care in such a dignified and well thought out way.
