In order to protect and minimise the risks to our vulnerable resident, we have decided to implement the Pandemic and Business Continuity Plans and are restricting all non-essential visiting with immediate effect. All entertainment and activity sessions have been postponed.

Staff who have tested positive for Covid-19 previously have now returned to work following self isolation and all residents remain unaffected by the virus. No new symptoms have been noticed or reported since the last round of testing.

All residents remain unaffected by the virus and have been tested negative. No new symptoms have become apparent since testing.

Four members of staff have been tested positive for Covid-19 and are currently self isolating. No new symptoms have become apparent since testing.

All residents and staff remain unaffected by the virus.

Update – 2 July 2020
We understand that life is slowly returning to normal, however we are still restricting visitation inline with guidance and policies. This situation is being assessed daily and we will strive to keep everyone up to date.
The four staff who were self isolating are now back to work.
Current Government communication is that staff will be tested every fortnight and we’re happy to say that staff have been tested again this week. Residents will be tested if they show any symptoms.

Update – 8 June 2020
In line with government and medical advice we are still implementing the Pandemic and Business Continuity Plan. As such all non-essential visiting is still prohibited. On behalf of our residents and staff we genuinely do thank all our loved ones and visitors for their continued help in supporting our isolation.

Update – 6 June 2020
ALL residents have tested NEGATIVE for Covid-19 which we feel is great news. In addition there has been no new symptoms since the results came back. Everyone is still well and healthy, if a little bored with not being able to see their loved ones.

We have however unfortunately had four positive results for members of staff. Since we have been exercising extreme caution since this virus first came out we believe that the risk to our residents is minimal and we are closely monitoring the residents for any symptoms which may happen. These members of staff are currently self isolating at home with their families and liaising with their doctors and other professionals where needed. Currently three members of staff are showing no symptoms at all. We truly wish everyone a swift and healthy recovery.

Update – 17 March 2020
In order to protect and minimise the risks to our vulnerable resident, we have decided to implement the Pandemic and Business Continuity Plans and are restricting all non-essential visiting with immediate effect. All entertainment and activity sessions have been postponed.

This is not a decision we’ve taken lightly since we understand the negative impact this coud have on all those involved. These precautions will help reduce the risk of a potentially dangerous virus from entering the home. Currently there are no residents or staff affected by the Coronavirus.

Please feel free to phone and speak to your relative or email, we will print off any emails you wish to send to care@charnleyhouse.co.uk.

We genuinely appreciate your support and understanding during this time. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any of the senior team on 0161 368 4664.

Also we are working on getting a mobile phone with WhatsApp so that you will be able to video call your relatives, please stay tuned.

Thank you for your support and we apologise for the disruption and difficulties this will bring. We shall of course keep everyone informed every step of the way.

Lynn @ Charnley House
