We offer in-house all the day to day facilities that a resident may need, and are included in our pricing. All services on this website are available through this price, although a few services may incur additional costs but these are marked as such and residents have the option whether or not to participate in them. All our care is offered in the price.
Meals, Snacks & Drinks
We have an in-house catering team who freshly prepare all our main meals. There is also a tea and biscuit service through the day. We have a page regarding specifics of our nutrition. We shop from local suppliers and aim for the home cooked approach in everything we do. Staff are always on hand to assist residents with eating if required. Individual diets and special dietary requirements are always accommodated and choices are always available.
If resident’s visitors wish to eat with with the resident then a nominal charge will be made to cover costs.
24 Hour Residential Care
We have care staff available 24 hours a day, to be used as much or as little as needed by the individual resident. Residents in their own rooms can summon staff using the nurse call system, and staff are always available in the communal areas. Help is always available.
We have many communal areas that are always available to residents. Some areas are quiet and perfect for reading, while other offer either a social experience, and everything in between. Residents are free to roam and chose where they want to be. Some of our communal areas have TVs, and often show suitable movies in the afternoon, others have music. We have secure outside gardens and patio areas which prove very popular when the weather is nice.
The choice is really on the resident as to what they want to do and where they want to do it.
Safe and Secure
Our home is safe and secure and we operate a secure front door policy. Our home is protected by security and fire alarms, and coupled with the 24 hour staff residents never need feel vulnerable or on their own. The residents are given keys to their own rooms, and each room has a separate lockable draw. We also have automatic equipment available which lets carers know when a resident may need help.
Each resident has their own space to call their own, all our rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Non-respite residents are welcome to decorate, bring in their own furniture, possessions, etc, however the rooms do come fully furnished by default. For respite residents we furnish rooms to a high standard. Each residents’ room has a TV point. Each room usually has multiple nurse call points available.
We operate our own in-house laundry, and make sure that clothes are clean and ironed on a daily basis. We aim to have a 48 hour turnaround where clothes are picked up and delivered directly to the residents rooms. Dry cleaning is arranged with local suppliers from outside the home.
We have our own in-house domestic team who make sure the house is clean from top to bottom daily and this includes communal spaces and residents’ own rooms. Our domestic teams work around our residents wishes and needs and like our care staff are available 24 hours a day.
Newspapers and small items can be purchased on residents’ behalf.
